"This olive oil in the clear-glass bottle has a buttery taste with a smooth texture. It finishes with a light pepper taste. It has a polyphenol count of 700 mg +. I purchased this oil in hopes that it would leave a stronger peppery sensation at the back of the throat, which according to many social media sites is indicitive of high polyphenols. I also have a cheaper green glass bottle of organic, cold pressed Terra Delyssa which contains only 300mg and to me, has a stronger peppery taste than 7thirty. Why did I pay so much more for your brand if I can get the same peppery taste from a green bottle brand? So why the price difference? My limited understanding is that although their brand has a peppery taste it may have more to do with type of olive and process than just the polyphenols, which are lower than your brand. The Terra Delyssa has a Chetoui component or compound which contributes to the peppery warmth. . I think. I know 7 thirty uses many different phenolics.
