Our First Ottawa Retail Partnership: Greek EVOO at Westboro Organics

Our first Ottawa retail partnership was a proud moment for Ilias and Sons. In the original announcement, we introduced Westboro Organics as the first retail store in Ottawa to carry our 500 ml organic extra virgin olive oil.

At the time, Westboro Organics was located at 421 Richmond Road in Ottawa's Westboro neighbourhood. This article preserves that early milestone in our family business, rather than presenting the address as a current shopping destination.

Sharing Greek olive oil with Ottawa

“This week marks one of our proudest moments living in Ottawa, Canada. We're extremely pleased to share our healthy organic extra virgin olive oil with the rest of the Ottawa Community,” said Ilias Giannakos in our original announcement.

That excitement was about more than a bottle on a shelf. It was a chance to introduce our Greek extra virgin olive oil to local shoppers and share a family tradition with the community we call home.

An invitation to taste

The original post also announced plans for a December sampling at Westboro Organics, with dates to be confirmed. We keep that detail as part of the story, not as an upcoming event or confirmation that the tasting took place.

Trying the oil, talking about food and sharing it with others were at the heart of the invitation.
